A premier Site
McGregor Quarry has won multiple awards for its community relations, progressive rehabilitation, and property enhancement. In recent years, it installed an automatic front gate, paved areas to reduce dust, and upgraded site signage. It also maintains berm plantings and trees along its perimeter and continuously invests in keeping its equipment and work zones clean and safe. About 12.88 hectares of its 126.65-hectare site have been rehabilitated.
Building Community Ties
McGregor Quarry is also committed to building strong community ties. It sponsored the Town of Amherstburg’s Canada 150 Canuck it Up! festival and the Annual Essex Region Conservation Golf Tournament, and regularly supports numerous charities and local events. Its staff host barbecues, tours, and class presentations, and they connect with neighbours through the Walker Brothers website and newsletter.
